No but I used to. I started at 16 and stopped at 21. I used Allan Carrs Easyway to Stop Smoking .

I remember reading/hearing about an article that said you're more likely to be a smoker if your parents are. I hated smoking as a child but still ended up as one & my Mum was a smoker. Most smokers I know have parents who are smokers as well, interesting I think!

Nope neither Dh nor I smoke and never have. The only person in DD's life who smokes is my MIL but she lives in another state so DD is not around smoking very often at all (and MIL smokes outside when she does happen to be around DD)

I know I can quit when I want to, I quit while pregnant, but until I'm actually in the right frame of mind, it's not going to happen. Until I say, I don't want to do this anymore.
This^ besides being a sole parent. Dp smokes too, which makes it hard to quit.

Never have, never will. I can't stand the smell of it! DF doesn't either.
My Mum is the only smoker that comes to visit and she does so outside away from the kids.

No I don't, I smoked a few cigarettes in my young teens but absolutely hated it! My parents smoked when we were kids and I am the only of their 5 children who doesn't smoke so agree with what the PP said. No-one in my circle of friends smokes cigarettes, all varied ages so I think (hope) it is losing popularity!

Champix does seem to work for a lot of people. My IL's quit using it and they were very heavy smokers. I was really proud of them, but they are sadly back on the durries again.

They visited us recently and gave us some gifts (some clothing items) and all the stuff had the putrid stench of smoke. Indoor smokers have no clue how much they reek because they can't smell it

I use to smoke from 16 years of age to 29. I gave it up because i didn't want my future kids to have a smoker as a mother.

But back in the day I adored smoking, especially while having a few drinks.

When I gave it up I promised myself that I would never have one again and so far have not been tempted.

I do agree when you smoke inside it makes the whole house, and everything in it, stink. I stopped smoking inside a long time ago, long before I even had kids as I noticed the house had a horrible smell

I smoked 20 a day from 17 until the day I found out I was pregnant with my first child which was at 23. I'm 26 now and haven't smoked since.
My dh smokes, I wish he would quit. His breath smells, his hands are yellow and his clothes stink. He always smokes outside but the bed clothes etc still smell of cigarette smoke. Since I quit, with dh smoking it made me realise how much I must of smelt of cigarette smoke!
