Eating as a family is a priority. For that reason, we eat between 6 - 6:30 when dh gets home.

In winter dinner is on the table at 5pm at our house, with bedtime at 6pm. Its dark at our place at 5pm and thats what my kids associate with dinner and bed time. In summer we have dinner at 6pm and do bedtime at 7pm. I much prefer winter!

6 o'clock on the dot. We all sit down together each night - I'm a firm believer in family meal times. We all eat breakfast together each morning too. My children are 5,4,3 and 22 months and all go to bed around 7pm.

What Time Do You Have Dinner?
We eat all together when DH comes home usually between 6.30-7pm, DS has an afternoon sleep from 1.30-3.30 , has afternoon tea and goes to bed about 8.30ish, so it works really well

Dinner on table by 4pm for the kids (and i have a small serve so it seems like a family meal).
We leave for DS's sport about 4.20pm, I drop him off and DD gets dessert when we get home.
DS gets a 2nd dinner when he gets home about 7pm and usually easts with either DH or I while the other parent puts DD to bed.
Sunday nights (our only night of us all home) we have a family dinner at 4.30pm ...then DH, DS and I will have a decent supper after DD has gone to bed.
I've always done early dinners for the lil ones...they are happier and not tired and grumpy and tend to eat more.

I'm the same PinkIsTheNewBlack. I often don't get home til between 6:30-7pm. In summer, I either eat around 6:30, or come in much later & eat around 9pm. No kids here either yet...I suspect things may change when kids come along!
As kids, we always had family meals, around 6:30pm. I can't remember if we ate earlier than that as really little kids. I remember hating having to go to bed at 7:30 when I was kinder age (wanted to stay up and watch A Country Practice!)

What Time Do You Have Dinner?
Normally around 5:30 for the boys then they are off to bed by 6:30. I make my dinner after they are in bed so I can eat a warm dinner in peace
