Hello, I am a first year Student Midwife at Griffith Uni and am searching for women that are 28 to 36 weeks pregnant that would be willing to have me follow them on their pregnancy journey. This is a requirement of my course and would involve me attending some of your antenatal appointments with you, being present for your labour & the birth of your baby and seeing you 3 times postnatally. My role throughout will be one of support person/observer and will not effect the care you will receive from your Registered Midwife, GP or OB.
Ideally you will be planning on birthing your baby at the Gold Coast Hospital or Birth Centre.
I am also a Mum to 3 girls and have been a Registered Nurse for 18 years. I am really passionate about my future profession and consider it a privilage to be involved in caring for women during one of the most exciting times in their lives.
If you think this is something you may like to do, please feel free to contact me with questions.becky@coomerawaters.net.au
