Just done some research on calcium chloride and potassium chloride and if that is one of the main ingredient swaps then I would think that it would certainly have potential to cause problems.
Calcium chloride is quite often used as a salt substitute in foods and is generally well tolerated, side effects are very rarely reported, unless there is an overdose. Potassium chloride's often used as a component of fertilizer and is occassionally used also as a salt substitute in foods. Diarrhea; gas; nausea; stomach discomfort; vomiting are all listed as potential side effects on the drugs.com website.

My 3 month old is on Nan HA. We've had absolutely no problems with the new formula. In fact he likes this one better and refused a bottle of the old stuff when I tried to use it up!

My son has been on the NAN HA since he was 2 weeks old, he is now 4.5 months old.
The past 2 months or so he has been on the new formula.
His poos are horrid, he is extremely agitated, has horrible gas and eczema on his forehead.
He hates being on his belly and now I know why.
5 days ago, He started getting diarrhea and vomiting, all I thought it was were immunizations/teething etc.....
Several doctors appointments later, I have HAD to switch his formula to a no lactose formula. I just hope this makes him well.

DS1 was fed Nan HA and it was great. I started DS2 on it too from birth but had to swap to Novalac Reflux at a few weeks old. I am now due in 3 weeks and was going to go back to Nan HA but saw on the news this morning about the new formula making babies sick. I definitely think i'll be getting the Novalac again.

I posted earlier- I am comp feeding my 12 day old DD- express plus top up- I decided to return my unopened Nan HA to the supermarket this morning and go with Karicare instead- she gobbled the bottle and I think I'll stick with that from now on as I wanted to avoid any 'potential' problems with the new Nan formula.

Well this explains everything.
On the packaging it just says its a new scoop? Not a new formula.
My DS has been having stomach problems and been very irritated lately this could be why!
