Default When did your kids outgrow birth to 4 year carseat?

Everyone I talk to with average sized kids has said they only made it to 3 at the most, then bought a Maxi Rider or similar. My dd outgrew hers at 3 and went into a Maxi Rider, and my nephew at 15 months looks to be almost out of his Mothers Choice seat, but has more room in his SnS reversible seat before going to the Maxi Rider. I can't see him lasting much past 2 in the Guardian though.

I moved DD1 out of hers when DD2 came along but in my mum's car we have a mothers choice carseat from target and i was looking the other day and DD2's eyes are almost level with the side of the seat (which is when they have to get a new seat) and she is a shorty little 21month old. i think she still has a few months in it but i am shocked that she is so close to being to big.

perhaps mothers choice seats are some of the shortest?? in my car DD2 is in a meridian AHR which means it should last her till at least 4 because the headrest moves up and down

DD was 6yo. DS2 is 5 next week and still in his and will be for ages. DS1 would have been in his for ages too if I wasn't a young naive person uneducated about parenting and moved him in to a booster way too young. :/

Yes, the Mothers Choice sets are quite short and only reverse to 9kg.

I've been wondering this -we just got 2 new car seats for each car - I can't imagine either lasting DS until he is 4. He already looks snug in them!

DD1 outgrew S&S guardian at 2 but she is very tall and we were expecting DD2 at that stage so moved her to a babylove - there is no way she would have been in s&s til 4.
