We have it on one of our showers too, its impossible to remove. We tried CLR too. Good luck - and let me know if anything works!

I tend to use a shower sponge thingy (you know those puffy things you use on your body) and just DP's cheap shampoo. Scrub it then rinse. I tend to do it while in the shower. My shower screen is clear as.

I had this in the 1st house we moved into in WA (wasn't used to hard water either!). I used Orange power and then scrubbed with a non-scratch kitchen sponge (the ones with the silver/gold 'mesh' over the sponge) and it worked a treat. To stop it reappearing you can spray with vinegar after each shower, but I hate the smell so just do a routine scrub.

I wouldn't use gumption as it's highly abrasive and will scratch the glass making it look cloudy. (If you can never get the screen 100% clean then there's a chance this is what the previous owner did already).

Don't know if anyone's mentioned it, I just skimmed the post, but sugar soap works a treat
