Have they actually said it is getting axed because of the comment and the backlash from it?
Is it possible its getting axed because its sh!t and has low ratings compared to other morning tv shows?

Or are (some) women up in arms about it being axed because they are assuming its because a "strong and opinionated" woman is involved?

The writing was on the wall for this show the moment Chrissy gave her notice. Yumi showed poor form earlier this year but, yes, apologised and, unlike others who have done the same, admitted fault.

I can't believe, however, that the interview with the heroic Qantas pilot, Richard de Crespigny, the other day has gone unnoticed. One of the worst interviews I've seen on TV where they Circle hosts tried to draw a connection between his abililty to save over 460 lives and "your mother was lost to you through an error of somebody in a hospital". What connection? Completely unnecessary bringing that up and they went on and on about some ridiculous spiritual connection between him saving lives and his mother's death. It was torturous to watch and ended with the pilot saying "I'm sorry, but it was two separate things". Awful moment.

Definitely enough sh1t TV on at all hours these days! I think Channel 10 is trying to hit new lows with two shows on at the moment (that don't even worth naming) and that hideous new wedding show that looks just plain offensive.

Ew that sounds very uncomfortable. They did have terrible interviewing skills.

I watch the shows I've missed from the night before online instead. Or peruse iView and pick a new favourite show!

Yeah I agree with you- I watched that particular "soldier" episode & George Negus also made some pretty off hand comments which never made any waves?! Having said that the show kinda fell apart when Chrissy left.. What the hell is the shire doing on air, channel 10?! You've got bigger tv crimes to answer for!!

Hahahaha. True. But that's mellowed out by the chilled out vibes of Rastamouse.
