Default I just want to say I love my Roomba!

Got a robot vacuum cleaner and I'm in love. The thing is ingenious and my house has never been clean on a regular basis like this!

Better yet, DS1 is obsessed with it and loves it so he keeps turning it on and making sure it does the whole house every day, so not only I don't need to vacuum, I don't even need to press start! :-D

Does it do tiles? And switch between floor types? I'm seriously considering getting one (well will have to save in secret. DH just bought me a 1600 dollar vacuum)

I just saw one on an American youtube video and was wondering, don't they get stuck under furniture etc?

I have done a LOT of research into robot vacuum cleaners as I was keen on layby-ing one for mum. After a lot of tossing and turning, I was going to get an LG roboking. It's a tiny bit more expensive, but it has more features than the Roomba and I have read 100's of positive reviews and haven't read 1 negative one.
With the Roomba, it was more a 50/50. Plus my father was 1 step ahead of me and bought mum a Roomba before I could. She returned it a week later and replaced it for a roboking. Oh well, saved me spending the $$$

OT, but if anyone is looking at buying a new gadget, PC/, TV, Internet Provider, etc. check out www.whirlpool.net.au
You will find heaps of reviews by real people who have bought the products and tried them.
You will also find engineers and other technical minded people who can help you find the right product for you and even help you fix things over the net. Whenever I look at getting something new, I go there for advice and feedback. Like for when i was looking for a new TV, Blu Ray player, Laptop, Internet provider and mobile phone.
The whirlpool users haven't let me down yet.

Mods, I posted the link because it is a non-parenting forum, so I thought it was ok. If not, please remove.
