Alittle - Good luck for today xxx
Well we found out yesterday we got the house so i guess this means it's real and we are doing it.....The house went on the net yesterday morning and we had 5 groups thru last night...holy crap........as much as i want to go i'm so scared and not sure we are doing the right thing....any advice girls....i swear i haven't been off the loo since we decided to go (sorry TMI) I'm trying to look at the big picture of how our lives will be up there...
Sonja - Did you know anyone when you went to Perth??????
I might have to stalk Picky and pay her to be my friend for a while just joking PW...
We are having an open house at 10am so id better go.....maybe i could fit in a vomit before people get here

Wow Amum i't's really happening!
DH is from Perth originally so he has some cousins and aunts and uncles here. We didn't see them really after about the initial month or so - we pretty much went it alone. I didn't really make any friends until Lucy started school, then it was pretty easy after that. DH also made a bunch of friends through his work and I became friends with a few of them.
I have become very good though at entertaining myself since we moved . I also think we 3 young kids we are just so busy I haven't had time to notice.
We embraced the beach culture - we went to the beach every day when we moved here. We got to know a few people that way. I also decided to say yes to every invitation I received for 6 months and decide after whether or not it was something I wanted to do.
It's tough but was the best thing we ever did.

Thanks Sonja...I did think that if we got any invites to ANYTHING we will be going....good tip though. I'm sure i will make friends with the school mum's like i have here in Sydney and I'm going to get a part time job in an office hopefully so that might help as well.......there is no way i am going to sit at home alone and not know anyone.....I like to work.
Well we had 12 groups thru this morning and 5 are putting in offers.......i'd better start packing i think...well pack some more, i've already started....DH has been investigating boats to buy so that is making him a little less stressed.

My 35+ PG Buddies #10
Amum - you make me laugh. I'm sure you have no problems making friends, and I doubt you'll need to part with cash for the privilege! Good luck. I am in awe of you ladies who move away.
We are off to dinner tonight for my sister's 50th. . Where has the time gone? Should be a nice night.

Hi gorgeous girls
Sonja great news on your scanHope you start feeling better soon, did you suffer MS last PGs?
Amum I'm sooooo excited about your move I agree with Sonja definately say yes to all invites, I think you will never look back. Banora Point is lovely, Mum & Dad lived at Tweed Heads & I loved my time visiting up there.
Moong I hope you're enjoying back at work.
Millie how's the sleep settling going?
fiona sounds like you're going great!
Kismet how's Evies TT going?
jFB not long until you go back to work.
Kel how's Ooh baby baby going for you?
Alittle good luck for EPU. I take my hat off to you, I wish I had you determination.
i think that's everyone, sorry if I have missed anyone.
We had a great time up at Surfers, Ashton LOVED Seaworld & especially the dinosaur section. He now is dinosaur obsessed! I can't believe my baby will be 3 next move really where has the time gone. I have to say I'm really loving this age, Ash is soo much fun & he is such an awesome kid
we are busy renoing our house ready for our country move, hopefully we will bet here by May. We have been up there alot lately & I just LOVE it.
I think I have moved on from trying for baby number 2, I definately don't have the desire to try anymore Though another of my GFs rang to tell me she was PG & I told Ash that J was going to have another brother or sister & he said " me want a brother" I have to say it made me a bit sad for him
Anyway love to you all & I will be on more often as DH goes back to work tomorrow!

Amum - just go for it, I think you will love it, the Tweed area is lovely and you are so close to the gold coast. Now just calm down luv and get that house sold! It seems like things are happening very quickly.
Alittle - best of luck with EPU,
Millie - I tried the cooled boiled water thing to get Evie to sleep through, she only wanted a little bit but it seemed to work or she was just ready to.
Nessie - no head way with TT yet but she is still sitting on the loo at times, I know now I just can't push her or she back peddles, I think she gets her stubboness from me as mum said I was the same . She had another sleep over at my SIL's last night and she was great, I had another night out (don't know how I use to do it all the time!), I think the sleep overs have been good for her.

Great to hear from u nessie. Sounds likeu havebeen enjoying dh while he is at home,no wild nights out this time? I dont know what to say about Ash,s comment but you tried your absolute hardest to give him a sibling .
Alittle,how did u go?
Amum, how is the house selling business? Am i right i. Saying that dh already bought a house without u looking at it? .....?
Well....put the baby to bed just now without straight boob to sleep , ....fed her in the loungeroom, took her into her room, put her sleeping bag on and sung her a song and put her down...only the tiniest whimper did i hear...i was expecting WWIII...

Well done JFB. How long til you are back at work?
Nessie sounds like a lovely break. Were your folks in Surfers? Sorry if I'm remembering that incorrectly. If I am correct I hope you had some lovely memories xx. As for Ash's comment Lucy used to get upset all the time when friends had babies. Now she constantly asks me why we didn't stop at her. You can't win with kids. She and Scarlett fight ALL THE TIME. Drives me nuts but I know it's normal sibling behaviour (my sister and I fought from an early age). Just getting better at switching off.
MG hope you had a good night out.
Kismet the sleepovers sound great - for you and Evie!
Amum any word on the house?
Alittle any news?
Millie I have no advice on babies and sleep - my kids are atrocious til about 2 but I'm never prepared to do anything about it so I just suck it up. DH and I just can't bear the crying. although Fiona's advice sounded pretty good (who knows maybe I'll toughen up with #4).
Well back at work today after nearly 2 months off. Boring. MS is better today (I descrbed it to DH as like having a hangover all day). It's been atrocious.
