Hi STC76
I have been doing acu for a few mths and need to check in with my acu lady tomorrow - and let her know where i am at in the cycle now i have started injections. I'm a few weeks behind you ladies.
Yes acu has great results especially if you do it pre transfer and after on the same day. I am yet to try ivf and complete a transfer but will let ya know in a few weeks if i'm that lucky.

Thanks Chances, I'll keep you posted on how it goes, I think I'm maybe about a week in front of you....
If nothing else, I find it really relaxing and after my Private Health rebates, it's only about $20 per session which I think is great!!

Wow Stc76 for $20 a visit you would be silly not to use acu. I'm currently paying $70 but shes awesome she will tell me when and if I need it so it's not every week.
However she does not see the value in same day transfers, she just said within a few days! which does my head in lol cause I want same day as per best research results. She also only works wed to sat. If all goes to plan my transfer is likely to fall on one of these days so fingers crossed.

Hi Ladies,
So great to see some BFP's coming thru,we see lots more.
I'm currently 4dp5dt & this has been the worse week of my life (OK, maybe a slight exaggeration!!!).
I thought the lead up to & actual egg collection was going to be the worse, with the injections, hormones, etc - how wrong I was!!!!
My collection & transfer was a breeze, a bit of bloating but that was it - I thought I'd gotten away with it pretty good - WRONG.
Originally we had 22 embryos collected, 18 mature, of that 9 fertilised. Each day the number kept dropping, I didn't think at this stage I'd be that attached to my emby's!
Luckily come ET day we had one lovely blasto to tfr & still had to wait to see if any further developed to freezing quality. The next day the clinic rang to advise that there were no suitable emby's to freeze & I had a bit of a meltdown. I think it was the thought that only one had been successful & the qu's going thru my head re: why had only 1 made it to blasto, was it me, what have I done wrong to cause this, etc etc etc. By now I had started on the Crinone gel, so I think that was also playing on my emotions.
Then that night I had my second Pregnyl injection - I was advised that I may react to this. React - OMG!!!! I think it has put my over the edge on progesterone levels & also caused mild OHSS. I have been sooo bloated (looking like a 40 wk pregnant elephant!!!), nauseous to the point of being physically ill, diarrhea, no appetite & worse of all, the shortness of breath/trouble breathing. I spoke to my nurse & she said that was all likely responses to the Pregnyl. She consulted with my FS & advised to take it easy & drink plenty of fluids & to not have the final Pregnyl injection. So I have had 2 days of really bad symptoms, & finally late this afternoon I think I'm finally on the road to recovery - breathing is improving, appetite is back & although I'm still bloated, I only look to be about 5mths pregnant now!!!
My biggest concern is that if () I am to get a BFP the OHSS will hang around, as I've read that it can last for another 2-3mths. But, I guess I am putting the cart before the horse!
Re: my prev question about Pregnyl staying in your system, my nurse advised that it does for up to 5 days, so I don't think that I'll POAS before my BT which is due on 14/9. I'm hopeful, but not getting my hopes up as I know that being my first cycle, it's all guess work. I don't think I want to get my hopes up too much, to come crashing down after BT results are known. And I also think knowing that we have no frosties, that we have to go thru a whole cycle again if this is not a success, makes me hopeful that this cycle is the one & we won't have to go thru the process again (well, not for a while, anyway).
Anyhow, enought of my babbling. My best wishes to all you ladies & hope our journey's are brief & successful.
P.

Gstef -
for you to have a big number on Monday.
Montesmum - I have much sympathy for you, OHSS is horrible. I suffered through late onset this cycle and was partly relieved when the symptoms started to improve even though it meant my embie was no longer producing hCg. I'd put up with it again if it meant a BFP, although I was not looking forward to explaining the sudden very pregnant tummy to everyone!
AFM - my official beta day is tomorrow. AF has almost finished and the OHSS has improved to the point where I can almost get my old clothes around my tummy. Wish I could skip the testing, I really don't need another reminder of my BFN. DH is away for work so I hope I don't go to pieces when the clinic calls.
