I think it's because the word means a woman's vagina but said usually in a derogatory way, as in it's a dirty or bad thing

Personally I'm not a huge fan of calling people names, I have to pretty riled up to even call someone an 'idiot' or 'd !ck head' directly...or even indirectly.
When read an insult using 'C U Next Tuesday' (as someone I know recently said) - I imagine it being used with venom, it screams bogan to me.
..strangely enough if I hear it or read it in the context of aother word for Vagina, either in say erotica or a feminist talk -- it doesn't grate on me as much.
Much more a fan of the trm 'ar se hat' to be honest
ETA>> also a self admitted everyday user of the F word, doubt I go a day without it - as hypocritical and classy as that sounds!!
..It's always used as a descriptive word and never usually AT someone, unless I'm asking DP if he is seriously kidding me!!

I think it's because the c word meaning is a raped vagina ??? Maybe that's why it's offensive? I use it sometimes not proud of it though

It's different to d**k in my opinion.
A better comparison would be the word c*ck.
Both are unacceptable in my opinion.

Was it used at all in that bloody 50 Shades book? Please say yes. Id love to know all the women reading it are going to jump on the bandwagon and start using it, considering it to be more acceptable.
I say 'oh my' alot and Ive heard that was said again and again in that book....she ruined it for me. I must write a hate letter....
