When I was 19 I misjudged my turning circle and my bumper kissed another parked car's bumper. I panicked and went to drive on, only to see the lady, who was in the car at the time, running after me. I panicked more, and sped off.
I'm incredibly ashamed about it and to this day I wish I had've stopped and faced up to what I did

I'd leave a note too. I am very honest & wouldn't be able to leave without seeing them or leaving a note behind. I've had several persons scratch or bump into my car at shopping centers it is very frustrating!

yup i def would. You never know the circumstance of the owner of the car either. Not that it matters, but what if they couldn't afford to fix it, or if it meant they couldn't get to work or something like that. Pretty slack to do a runner.

I hit our neighbors car, and left a note, after a week nothing so I knocked on the door when I knew they were home, turns out they never got the note. Must of blew away in the wind

yes. I know many who said they would but know for a fact they have not or would not. My car was recently hit I caught the person trying to drive away as the damage was not that bad. IT did not look bad but my front bar is now stress fractured and looks like rubbish she will be paying to fix it but had no intention of doing it....
Many times I have seen people hit cars and drive off I always get all details of car and person and leave them a note with my details as a witness. The worst damage I saw left the lady in tears as she just re-sprayed it that month and was so grateful I got his details. He was in a trade car so not only was it easy to get his appearance and rego we had a direct number to give police.

I would take photos of both cars and the damage on both cars. I would also leave a note with my number so I could rectify the situation with the person whose car I hit.
A few weeks ago we were at the shops and watched a car reverse into a ute, tow ball and all. By the time it clicked what happened the people got out and were in the shops. We went to try and track down the ute driver and DP waited by his car and got all the other cars details. Good thing we did as the people who did the hitting didn't care and just left.

I would and I have, my brother scratched a car with the keys when we were out one day so I left a note, they called me to thank me for the note but that they weren't worried about it, it wasn't a big scratch. However, I've had people break my headlights, scratch my car and not leave notes.
