    Default Forceps Delivery

    For those of you who had a forceps delivery, we're you given an episiotomy???

    Horror story. No pain relief at all even though begged and tore . Horrible experience that I have since heard was totally not normal procedure ! I just got unlucky on the day

    Yes I had one as well, wasn't given the option ... was TOLD I had to have a forceps delivery and apparently an epi was included in that.

    Oh sorry to hear babynomad :-( Hope you recovered ok.

    I had pain relief but tore VERY badly.

    Yep, but I knew that an episiotomy went with the forceps delivery from previous discussions during my pregnancy with my ob and it healed well so I was ok with it.
