    I want a new dining table so any extra money for me would go towards that.

    In your position, maybe just split it with your DH then you guys can blow it on whatever you want? My parents did this when I was about 10, they won $5k in lotto and everything was paid off, so each of us kids got $500 and mum and dad spent theirs on a holiday I was such a happy kid haha

    I would take the family out for a fun weekend.

    Theme parks, toy shops, kid free dinner, picnics, just generally stuff that would make everyone happy together

    Maybe some REALLY GOOD winter jackets for the family rather than the OK ones you have to layer with...

    I'd pay the electricity bill - approx $160
    Use some of it to get into Movie World for DD's birthday on the weekend - that's about $200 for entry alone.
    Buy a massage table
    Pay a week ahead of rent so if we ever got a week where we were struggling, we wouldn't have to worry as much.
    Blow the rest.
