I wish I had a dollar for every time someone has mentioned weaning my now 12 month old DS since his first birthday.
It's my business not yours, we will stop our breastfeeding journey when we both decide to. Sheesh.

Secondly *hugs*perhaps it can be so hard, my ds is 2 and i used to get it ALL the time from my family, no one else knows we still nurse.
Just say to them we will wean when we are ready, if they continue ask them why they are so interested.

Next person that says anything about it, you should whip out a breast and squirt them in the eye with milk

I'm always amused because it's usually a worded along the lines of "are you still feeding her"? while she's munching on fruit or something and so I take while and usually say something like "why wouldn't I feed her she's hungry?" cue awkward pause while I realise then I'm all "oh you're talking about breastfeeding?" yep I'm slow like that. a friend of mine is super quick though and would say something like "don't you feed your kids, I keep telling mine I'll stop when they turn 18 or they are getting too tall"
I figure it's no ones business but mine and babies (my last is now 22months and shows no signs of stopping)

Ignore them, please!
I can't believe there are so many people out there who make it their business to even question a mothers choice to breastfeed.

For some reason some people think its their business.
My SIL offered me a can of formula for 1year+ and I said no thanks we won't need it. Her response..are you still going to feed him? (sounding shocked) That child will be BF'ing until he's 5! DS is 8mths! She's charming like that.

Yes. Oh my god.
My MIL tried to tell me to stop at 6 weeks, then 6 months and then basically every month since that until I yelled at her.
It's my body, my baby. He will stop when he is ready, why should I make him stop before that? Big hugs OP - stick to your guns!
