    Default working overseas

Hi My daughter is returning to Australia to have her baby after working overseas for 6 years. Is she entitled to maternity and parental leave?

Hi there I'm no expert but I returned from overseas to have my first baby and my overseas full time work was taken into consideration and i was granted the paid paternal leave (rather than the baby bonus) so if she meets the work (overseas work included) requirements set out by the family assistance office she should receive it as well.

Do you mean government or employer? She wouldn't get government but should get baby bonus. Best to check with Centrelink.

ETA - just read post above so I could be wrong!
