I would look for someone who makes yummy jams/spreads/lemon butter etc and offer to swap some fruit for some of their product yum yum. I think giving your child's centre is a good idea too.

    Marmalade/jam?

We have a lemon tree and I make up a big batch of citrus marmalade when the fruit is in season and just keep the jars in the bottom of the pantry.

DH is a chef and they use a couple of 10kg boxes of lemons a week. Maybe approach a restaurant/cafe/hotel and see what they'd pay for them?

Otherwise juice them and freeze them for use out of season. You can zest them and freeze that separately too :-)

Marmalade or jam, jar them and sell them. Sell oranges by the bag. Put an honesty box out the front, if people take and are dishonest, no real loss, but you will find most people are honest.

So I am going to try and make marmalade. I say this hesitantly because my last attempt at making jams was not a success. Does anyone have any fool proof recipes? Like really fool proof

I like the idea of putting out the front but worry about school kids throwing it around, as the bus stop is at the front door.
