I think i will be pretty ok. Plenty of work for me atmy work place which is good. I have a little bit of savings currently. Not much but would get us by for a few weeks if needed.

We own our own business and last year was very slow but this year , especially the last few months have really picked up so I think we will be fine, we have been through worse!

Didn't notice the last recession, probably won't notice this one. We live frugally as it is. More families growing veg, thinking and buying locally can't be a bad thing.

We were hit really bad last time. My husband lost his job as a direct result of the last recession and we spent close to a year with no income at all We weren't even entitled to any government funding because we had an investment property that we couldn't sell (went halves in with a family member who couldn't afford to buy us out but refused to sell...we have since sold it). We had to move out of our house and couldn't sell that either (no one wanted to buy it) and relied on loans from relatives and racked up masses of credit card debt so we could put food on the table and survive without declaring bankrupcy.
We have since paid all our debts back and got back on our feet and are finally getting ahead again. If we get hit hard with the recession again it will be pretty difficult to deal with

I dont think we would notice it. DF works as a horse trainer for a multiple Melbourne Cup winning stable. The owner is one of the richest guys in Australia and wouldnt stop pouring money into the business. Its his little tax haven baby!

DF should be safe. He was made redundant in the beginning of 2009 in the last GFC, we were lucky we lived with family at the time so didn't fall behind on Bills. This time now we have rent and car payments if the worst happened, we'd struggle, but worst case scenario, we have family who can help
