Default What do u think of ppl with good cars

Just a question to see what people do think.
A family member has a bmw car.. A nice one but not the newest and best a 2008 one.
Anyway she said she feels funny when driving it to friends parties etc as in they can't afford a nice car live in small rentals etc (she is no way is judging these friends she loves them) but said to me when getting in her car and saying bye today she felt like they think she is rich and snobby possibly just because if the car.

I was her passenger and didn't feel like that i just thought it was a nice car and comfy.

So what do u think if friends or random people own bmw or nice cars like that? Show off's?

I guess I think it is a bit pretentious as I'm just not into cars.

If anything, I wonder how much finance they have on it.

I have a 2011 mazda 3. I don't care what people think about it, I own it outright and I deserved it after everything I did for my Nanna and Pop over the years. (Inheritance. I wasn't given money I was given a car.)

I don't pay attention to peoples cars. I used to drive a smashed up magna before my mazda, having a fancier car doesn't change me in any way.

A lot of our high end clients/ builders drive Ferraris/Porches/Mercedes etc so Im used to seeing them all the time and don't even notice , ( most are probably leased as ours are for work) DH has always had nice cars, half his friends do half don't , I couldn't care less what car someone drives( I judge on handbags!!! Joking )

I wouldn't consider a Mazda 3 in the same league as a BMW, merc, Audi, etc.

I would just think they have money. But I don't base my friendships on how much money someone has or the car they drive....

Nor would I.. I have a Mazda3. I love it, wouldn't want any other car, but I don't feel the same way I feel when I drive FILs brand new Merc C300...

Honestly, I don't really notice swish cars, but I feel a lot more unnoticeable now I have a car that's pretty standard to see on the roads as opposed to my old bomb!
