    We have friends who have a son called Jin, and a daughter called Mai. Jin looks very aussie (his dad is aussie, mum is japanese) and it still suits him perfectly

    I don't think it's unusual to hear eastern names on western looking kids now, we're multicultural enough that it's pretty common .
