With my first which was overnight and involved alot of water I was no makeup. My 2nd and 3rd I had makeup. Mind you, my every day makeup routine is a base foundation and mascara.

Noone gets scared by this face a la natural except hubby and the kids... Ha ha!

I don't think there is a lot of make up out there that would withstand childbirth haha.

It was honestly the very last thing on my mind. I think I look beautiful in the first shot regardless though - I think all Mums do. There is something so stunning about a new Mum, sweat and all

I love my makeup but have to say it was not a priority when in labour. I thought what is the point when I will be sweating and what not. I had my eyelashes tinted is all. And even though Im into my makeup to enhance my natural looks I am confident without it also so wasn't a big deal for me.

I had an 'outfit' picked out (black singlet) and knew how I wanted my hair (pinned back in twists with bobby pins) cause I knew I wanted to be able to share my birthing montage online. I didn't bother with make up though.

I would have worn it had it crossed my mind. Things went too fast for me to even think about makeup.
