Default So how positive is a positive OPK?

I'm really trying to tune in to my cycle and "get to know it" while we decide on our TTC journey. I've just started OPKing as well as charting
Last month I got a + OPK on day 20, then got AF on day 34.
    Perfect.
But some accidental BDing this morning got me thinking and I took a OPK just now (day 16).
I've thrown my + ones from last month out...so is this a + or still heading toward a +?

Great! Thanks for that. I will do another one tomorrow.
So the rule of thumb is they have I be exactly the same colour/shade/darkness??

It's a negative opk. A positive has to be the same darkness or darker than the control line. And yes maybe do them twice a day to catch the surge.

In the three of months before and after we started TTC, I never got a second line as dark as the control line (using the pink David OPK tests). However, my Clearblue Fertility Monitor (which also measures LH) seemed to confirm that as soon as I got any line on the OPK, it was a positive. (And it must have been right, because we got our BFP first month trying!)

It's very close... Your surge could be on the way up later today
