How old are you and your partner? This is important in deciding what your next steps should be.

I went to the doctor at our 7 Month mark (we are 2 weeks away from 12 months now) and I asked to be tested for PCOS. I had blood tests and scans both come back all fine, I got my immunities checked and I got a pap smear. All fine.

Then they tested DPs sperm and hes perfect, so they told us if nothing by 12 months to go back. I would just tell them the situation and ask them to maybe order you a blood test to make sure that youre ovulating and ask for a referral for a sperm test for DP

We will be approaching the 6 months mark soon and I'm so disappointed that nothing is happening yet. I was also wondering whether it's worth going to the doctor. We are 28 & 30.

The general advice is if you are under 35 then you should try for 12 months before seeking help (even in normal fertile people it can take that long). Good luck!

I had long, heavy and very painful periods and I had previously had a laparoscopy last year where they found endo. I was about to see an acupuncturist and when I requested various blood tests at 6 months of ttc from my GP (mainly to see of I was ovulating) I was met with resistance and told to come back in 6 months. Needless to say I found a new GP who was happy to do bloods, sent me for pelvic ultrasound and sperm analysis too. She also supported acupuncture and Chinese medicine. It can't hurt to ask for tests if you feel like there may be more to it. Good luck!!

*sigh* I could have written that exact post. No advice because I'm in the same shoes (fell easily with ds a few years ago).

Just *hugs*. Especially with a chem under your belt too. I find that makes it worse.

By testing I mean maybe a pelvic US and bloods.

If so, what are some bloods you should be getting?
Im heading to drs next week for routine pap smear and was going to chat about ttc and how we haven't fallen yet (apart from a chemical).

What would you get checked (I'm asking in case my dr is clueless or us not willing to go into testing) for?

    Thanks
At 7 months I had a CD21 blood test to confirm ovulation & Thyroid
    Then an ultrasound...
I was then sent away till 12 months when DH had a SA & they found abnormal sperm morphology & at 13 months we started ivf... Had a m/c and the rest were negatives, now I've found a new specialist & I'm going in for a laprascopy to be investigated further. My periods are between 23 & 29 days, bleed heavy for 2 days then spot for 2..... Possible issue with me
