In recognition of NAIDOC week I thought I would start a thread where we could share Aboriginal artists we like and admire. All of mine are musicians/singers but I also love Aboriginal art and dancers so feel free to share any form of 'art'.
I actually don't know where to start, don't want to give preference to one over the other
Ok, love Dan Sultan, gorgeous voice and hawt, hawt, hawt!!!
The Last Kinection - Local band in my area but known Auswide, beautiful people and very talented, if you haven't heard them you could start here
Gurrumul Yunipingu - voice of an angel, takes me to another place whenever I listen to him
Radical Son - If you haven't heard him listen to Like a version - The Herd found here
Tiddas - Show us your Tiddas!!!
The Mills sisters - have made me want to go to Thursday Island
Also Saltwater Band, Jimmy Little, Archie Roach, Jessica Mauboy and I'm sure there are more.
Who inspires you?
