So I'm 28 weeks pregnant. Bubs is transverse. Which is fine. Well, it's annoying.
How are they meant to gauge that baby is growing okay??
Apart from the kicks I get, I don't get that reassurance
And yes, it's only just occurred to me that baby might not be growing as he/she should be, and no one would know!
Not that I have past history.
Hormones. That's my excuse for being stressed over this.
****Edit- Just wanted to add that I can feel the top of my uterus at belly button level. Still. Hasn't changed in weeks

My DS was transverse til 34/35 weeks so my fundal height was always measuring much smaller then it should have been.
The midwives sent me for an extra ultrasound to make sure measurements were all ok and they were.
Could you ask for an ultrasound to put your mind at ease?

My ob doesn't do fundal height measurement at all,
He has had over 21 years of ob experience though

My next ob appointment is at the start of next month. I guess I'll have to ask/beg him then!

My midwives weren't worried. They assumed i was only measuring small due to DS's lying transverse but said the ultrasound was just standard procedure to confirm all was ok.
Maybe your ob isn't concerned and doesn't see the point of an ultrasound?

Ask for an ultrasound to check up on bub. Fundal heights aren't really very accurate.

I have got a midwife appointment this afternoon so I'll ask then.
It'd be nice to have another peek though

I agree with the others, get a referral today from your midwife for a 'growth and wellbeing ultrasound'. That ought to give you some peace of mind If midwife can't give a referral, ring your Dr and they can fax a referral straight to the ultrasound place without you needing to wait for your next appointment.
