    Default Surely not...

I don't really have a question, just sharing some thoughts with you.

I had a ruptured ectopic in Oct '10 and lost my right fallopian tube. I've been trying, full-on at first, then half-heartedly, to conceive since then. But with no success, and with my age advancing to now 43, I gave up on it all about 6 months ago and decided to live with the fact that my body just wasn't going to perform the way it used to!

I asked you all for some opinions on conceiving with only one tube and was surprised to find out that a woman can ovulate on the same side (even on the side without a fallopian tube) for month after month. It all made sense as I can feel when I ovulate and I believe that it is on the damaged side almost every month.

So earlier this month, I thought I felt those ovulation twinges on the "good" side and I decided to give it one more try for good measure.

This last week, I've been feeling sick in the morning with the sorest breasts I've had since I was last pregnant. And I just have this niggly feeling that maybe.... maybe.... it's actually taken. I really feel pregnant.

But, I know this is all just conjecture and I have about 4 days I think before I can test - but I'm thinking I'll wait at least a week just to be sure, if nothing happens in the meantime. I'm determined not to get my hopes up. If I find that there's no pregnancy - then I'm definately quitting TTC!

Anyway - just felt like sharing....

Good luck! If you're getting obvious symptoms I would imagine the hormone level would be high enough to show up on a HPT. But I was terrible when TTC and would test way too early most of the time!! I got a positive with DD at 11dpo though

Goodluck, I hope you get some good news. Just wanted to add that I know a woman who lost one of her tubes and ovaries and was told she would either never conceive or have a lot of difficulty. It took some years but she conceive a girl and had a normal pregnancy then after that she conceived 4 more! It can definitely happen and I hope it does for you
