Hi,
We have used this company a few times before for airport transfers and they will supply car seats for children on prior arrangement; http://www.instylelimo.com.au/about.html
You might find it more cost effective to hire a car with seats though (depending how many trips you will need to take). Otherwise, take your own car seat.
I personally wouldn't risk taxi travel without a car seat for little ones.

Thanks everyone. Dd will be 13 months, so def too young to be out of a car seat.
I keep hearing public transport on the gold coast is pretty good, so just more worried about Brisbane now, esp when we travel to the suburbs to see my cousin.
I did call black and white cabs in Brisbane and they def don't have car seats.
