    Default Ideas??

My lovely dp got her hr licence a little while back and is struggling to find work. She is desperate to get a new job in a new industry. Can anyone suggest anything? She would love to drive in the mines but with out experience that seems like a dream. She was looking into a plumbing apprentership but we wernt sure if we would able to survive on the wage she would be getting. Any ideas?

Firey, Ambo or cop. Although not cop. Because it sucks being the partner of one

Firies get to work out and sleep when they're not fighting fires - sounds like my kind of job!

My hubby loved being a firey he did his workplace trainer and assessor course and his medic course and got a job on the mines as an emergency response officer (is now an emergency response manager). He got in through his contacts with training and doing temp work through agencies.

What about looking at some courses? Unfortunately there isn't any quick ways it took him 4 years post being a firey to get onsite!

There should be a careers part to their page - see what it involves. I know in NSW to join the police you apply, wait for an intake (DP waited 18 months), spend 8 months in hell on earth - unpaid, unless you get a scholarship - and then get stuck into it.

    For NSWFB:
