We have a queen bed ATM and a very attached toddler! He likes to sleep with dh and I halfway through the night and there really isn't much room in our bed!
The only thing is our bedroom isn't really that big compared to most masters.

Should we get a king size bed??

If you can afford to and it will fit then I would esp if you plan to have other kids. We only have a queen and we co sleep with our toddler. There is no room to invite our other kids in for a cuddle if they have a nightmare etc.

We have a super-king size bed (and nothing else!) in our bedroom. I absolutely love it as hubby and I are hot and cold sleepers and not really cuddlers once we are asleep. We also have our 5 year old join us at some stage most nights and we all get a great nights sleep.
Only downside is rarely are American king size or ultra king size sheets/quilts/doonas sold in Australia so I have to make them or wait for family/friends to bring them over.

Absolutely!!! We got our new king bed last month and it is the best! We co sleep with 20 month old DS, it makes such a huge difference!

If i had 5k right now i would buy one. There is only myself and my 5yr old in my bed but he takes 3/4 of the bed while sleeping. I think we would both get a better night sleep if we had a bigger bed.

I want a super king.
I love our king bed. Well, loved.. It feels too small now.
Our bedroom is teeny, 1/3 of our old bedroom. We just get the bed and drawers in. Very skinny around the sides.

We only just upgraded ours 2 weeks ago. I thought it would be a lot bigger than it is, but to my surprise that extra space makes all the difference. DH and I have a lot more room now as DS usually ends up in bed with us. We got ours specially made for us - a MySide bed so that my side has a different firmness level to DH's. Really worth it and we got it on sale for $2,500 too, which isn't too bad. It's an ensemble too so that included the base.
