Fans are great in summer (much cheaper too) and I have read they reduce the risk of SIDS. Google fans and SIDS. Loads of stuff comes up

DS was born 18th of December, not due til 22 of January though.
Mum some cute 00000 Christmas suits (legless) as we were still in hospital over Christmas.
If you have aircon, I would just use one of those bonds/Target wonder suits with a nappy and a muslin wrap.
I don't have aircon though. Disposables made DS's bum sweat really bad and caused quite a few nasty infected rashes. So at 6 weeks (End of Januray) I swapped over the modern cloth. So he would wear a singlet and a modern cloth nappy and that's it.
In his basinette I would have him the same but then with a muslin wrap and tucked him in with another muslin wrap over him (instead of a cotton sheet).

If you want to use disposables full time, than just sleeveless, legless onesies are great. Or even just a singlet and tiny knit shorts to cover the nappy.
