    Default Thoughts on girls name?

Hi, if we have a girl we have decided she will be Essie Elizabeth.

Essie is an abbreviation of Estelle or Esther (but she would just be Essie) but I am a bit paranoid people will think it is an abbreviation of Elizabeth, which would make her name a bit ridiculous!

Would love your thoughts - cant tell if it's just crazy pregnancy musings or otherwise!

My first thought was exactly wat u were concerned about, essie being a nickname for elizabeth. But really, how often will the two names be said together?

Not a fan in the slightest!!!

Essie does not sound like a real name! Sounds like a nickname so yes think you will get trouble!!

Bonkers is offline wishes she was a glow worm. A glow worm's never glum, 'cos how can you be grumpy when the sun shines out of your bum?

I would probably name her Estelle with a different middle name, then you can nickname to Essie.

but as long as you're happy with the names that's all that matters

Not a fan, sorry. It just reminds me of the nail polish or for some reason a big supermarket.

Love Essie. A girl at work called her baby Essie but she was born sleeping.
