    If worst came to worst would you support (financially, in their own home or by sharing your home) your parents?

    Yes, what child wouldn't?

    Of course I realize children of abuse etc may have issues with this and fair enough too.

    But for me, in a heartbeat.

    Yes without question, there is no way that my parents will ever go without, and I know that my siblings feel the same way.

    my heart breaks when I see elderly clients who are struggling and they have no family to help them out (or their family chose not to help them for some reason).

    You would be surprised how many children do not help, and that is where there is no issue of abuse.
