    Default Brazilian?

So last night I was watching a birthing dvd given to me by my hospital. I noticed the two ladies delivering had an all off brazilian. Is this recommended before going into labour or can you be all natural? Also isnt waxing banned during pregnancy? ? Im confused.

    Due: 06/10/12

Not banned at all unless you have varicose veins.

I didn't bother. Why prepare like that for someone who seriously doesn't gaf.

All natural is fine. I just had mine trimmed short like I usually do.

I may have gotten a Brazilian if I was going to be watched by thousands of people on a DVD :-D

I think in the 'old days (ha ha!) they used to shave you (according to my Mum). These days anything goes, I'm not a waxer, I went all natural, hey I couldn't even see down there to get to my bikini line let alone anything else! The Obs/Midwives would have seen everything so just do whatever you are comfortable with. To be honest when the time comes you won't care what it's like down there!

I think now they only shave you if you're having a Caesarean!

Honestly, the doctors and baby seriously don't give a **** if there's hair or not down there. I would actually feel uncomfortable if I had a Brazilian whilst giving birth!! In my head I would think that the doctors were thinking I was a weirdo for getting it done just for giving birth

The only reason I would do it before birth would be for hygiene reasons, easier in the shower after birth with all the yuckies that come out with baby..

If you get them done anyway there's no reason to stop during pregnancy. I had them done until it was too uncomfortable to lay on my back to do it. Then DH would just use a trimmer down there for me.

i got shaved :| it was part of the prep for my planned c-section, the midwife just did a real quick job right before surgery lol
Guess its so they can see where to make the cut! and surgical reasons.
If i was having a natural birth i may just tidy up down there....but i could never get down there so...hmmmmmm
