Default Do your children play on their swing set?

I am undecided whether or not to buy my children, aged 3.5 and 19 months, a swing set (maybe for christmas) as I'm not sure how much use they would get out of it.

Do you have a swing set and if so, is it used often.

    thanks

My kids love it, my daughter around the same age as your first when she really "got into it"

Last christmas we got DD a big wooden swing/trampoline/cubby and slide set. She absolutely loves it! Worth every penny. She uses the swings and trampoline the most.

She had not long turned 2 when we got it.

I bought one of those massive ones, it has a slide, see-saw, and about 6 different swings. I think it got used maybe a week and the novelty wore off and has barely been touched since. It doesn't help our yard has been a construction zone a lot of the time. And then there was the wet season. Hopefully now it will start getting used more.

If she gets ready early she plays on it before school. She plays on it most afternoons, weekends and holidays. I bought the first one when she turned 2 then upgraded to the current one with flying fox and slide when she was 7.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like it could be a good present. Just got to convince DH....after building a cubby house and a trampoline for previous Christmases he has told me that he will kill me if I get another present that requires putting together on Christmas Eve! Lucky I've got a few months to convince him.

My kids prefer climbing, seesaws and slides. The swing is the least used in the yard.
