It may have changed since I birth there but there definitely didn't used to be a catchment area for the birth centre (though there is for the rest of the hospital and many people were told there was.) When we moved 4 hours away, I was desperate to have bubs number 4 at the birth centre and the middies said that would have been fine (we didn't in the end due to logistics.) I would definitely ask the birth centre midwives directly.

I'm not on the north side or catchment area but if you are willing to forego the home visit check up _ I had to go in and travel to nundah for your visits then just get your gp to request it. I also got into the mater midwife program.
