I know there have been a few posts about this but I havent seen anything posted thats been recent..My DS is 3 years old & he is tall and slim & I struggle to find pants that fit him in length. I know you can now get pants with the adjustable waist which is great but the issue I have is he fits a size 2 around the waist (as a 3 is too big even with the adjustable waist band) but the size 2 pants dont fit him in length.. Arrrrggh!!! Does any else have the same problem? & where do you buy pants from? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as my poor little mans ankles are getting cold!!

I sortof have the same issue. My DS is a fair bit younger (19 months). He wears a size 2 pant in length but the waist is always an issue. Right now he wears a size 1 pant but they are really short! I tend to buy a US brand called Carters. You can find them on amazon. They tend to make their clothes for tall, thin kids and not overly expensive. Biggest downfall is waiting for your shipment.

Subscribing! My 18 month old DD is tall and slim (didn't get it from me).
Size 2 legs, size 1 tooshie. Leggings work well but she needs warm pants for winter!

I have this problem with my ten yr old. He's a 10 - 12 in length but a 8 around the waist. I've resorted to pants with drawstrings from best and less or big w.

DS has the same problem - he is a 2 in length, but only a 0 - 1 at the waist. I just buy the pumpkin patch adjustables, and then put on a belt. A friend told me Cotton on Kids have some good belts at the moment, but I haven't checked them out yet.

yea my 6yo can fit size 2 shorts
He grows and grows and grows but never gets any fat on him
I buy him the adjustable waisted jeans and shorts from kmart.Just got him some $9 jeans for school.Best thing is he never gets enough wear out of them so I pass them on to DS2!

I have the same problem with my 6 year old DS he is a 6 in length yet only a 2-3 in the waist!!
It is infuriating to find pants for him! Target, Kmart, Big W, Cotton On Kids, Pumpkin Patch, Best and Less ALL too big for him even with adjustable waist pulled as tight as they go they fall off him!! Even skinny leg jeans look like baggy jeans on him!
I finally managed to find one pair of jeans to fit him still had to have the adjustable waist pulled as tight as possible - downfall Ouch brand and they were $55!
Industrie jeans fit him also but they were $70!!!
So my answer is you CAN find clothes that fit for skinny kids but it will cost you an arm and a leg!!!
Thank god with his shorts I can just get a small size - he was in size 2 last summer!
