DS is only very little but we use penis and doodle, and testicles and balls. I'm trying to keep it to penis and testicles but don't mind if we use both.

Our girls refer to their bits or front bottom and back bottom. The do know that the correct name is vagina, but they tend to refer to it as "bits" or "front bottom". Not sure how that happened.
I would never use the term butterfly though - that could just cause too much confusion!!

I use the proper names, I don't see the point in tiptoeing around it? They are just body parts, no different to a persons toe or finger!

- Home, where my life lies waiting, silently, for me.

As a child/growing up we were not allowed to mention them other than to say our 'privates'. Learnt their correct names in school at an age that I definitely should have known already!
Agree with using correct names for children for sure! My DH took a lot of years to get me comfortable saying the correct terms even as an adult! :S

My daughter calls them vagina's and penis'
My son who is one calls his a doodle at the moment as he can't say penis

My dad used to call my vagina....... a money box! I know that is so incredibly wrong but it cracks me up to this day that he used to call it that.
We'll refer to our little one's penis as his willy and penis. If we were having a girl.... yeah, vagina but if I'm just meaning the crotch area maybe giney. I don't mind front bottom but my OH wrinkled his face at the sound of that.

Another for penis and vagina here!
If you make it a 'taboo' or 'funny' thing to call them by their proper terms your children will grow up embarrassed by them if it's part of everyday language it's no different to foot or arm
