    Hi there,
I'm having a similar topic also.
They do estimate dd from the day of your last period.
I had hormone therapy in mid may.. (had a Iui done).. I was on hormones, grew follicles within 8 days and inseminated by calander day 10, then got a pos hpt another 10 days later....
"technically" I'm 4 weeks since my lmp, though I disagree...
So my cycle this month was 24 days-not 28

    Hope this makes sense
    Goana

My clinic didn't give me an EDD.
If your Ob wants you to have ovulated on CD14 then use the date based on EPU.
If they're wanting to calculate anything related to foetus age, and if you know exactly what date egg met sperm, then it makes sense to use that date instead of introducing errors just for the fun of it.

I had the same thing at my clinic - Genea.

It was hard waiting those two extra days at the beginning, but as you get further into it 2 days is okay.

    Best of luck!

I'd say 38 weeks from EPU.

I don't quite understand how you can lose days and get dates mixed up. A human baby has a 38 week gestation, plus approx 2 weeks from day one of bleeding to Ovulation = 40 weeks. Can someone please enlighten me how the hormones affect this....

It is all very confusing isn't it?

    I worked out 3 DD's.

Going by the IVF due date calculators I'm due 8th January.
Going by Fertility Friend I'm due the 9th January.
Going by my FS I'm due 10th January.

So pick a date. Bubs will be late any way so I'm guessing around the 12th. For now I'm going with my FS due date. It's not going to make too much difference when the DD is as bubs will come when they are ready.

I know what you mean about the 2 days being a big difference lol. If I was due the 8th I'd be 10 weeks 2 days haha rather than 10 weeks due the 10th haha!

Goanaspaner - I don't think Ngaiz is being rude .

Ngaiz - The DD's are based on a pefect text book 28 day cycle not taking into consideration if you O late or are stimming for longer. So yes you can lose days when doing IVF. I've lost 2 days according to all the IVF due date calculators. I'm guessing hormones can make you O later or make you stim longer etc.... Does that make sense?

When most and I say most IVF clinics work out your DD they usually take it from your EPU date and then count back two weeks to work out your DD. So even though I had AF on the 28th of March he has me as having AF the 4th April with EPU 14 days later. Just to keep it perfect text book 28 day cycle.

Ah the dreaded 12 week wait. I must confess that this particular first trimester has been fraught with nerves. I'm freaking out quite a bit with the lack of MS. Which in my own experience means no MS = bad outcome. Hopefully my first OB appointment tomorrow puts my mind at much ease.

We could be celebrating 2 Birthdays. I won't forget yours in a hurry.

I'm not looking forward to being heavily pregnant in summer but then I'll be so ready to have this baby the heat will be the last thing lol. I think the pool on base (DH in the RAAF) will be very useful lol.

You will certainly have a few busy and possibly $$ begining of the year lol. But good things come in 3's .

I love the blow up pool Idea. Problem is once we get in we may not be able to get out
