My waters broke at 3am on a Thursday morning but labour didn't start of me until the Friday night at 11pm. I had a quick 6 hour labour.

Oh and I bounced on a fit ball for a few hours on the Friday, seemed to get things moving. Unfortunately you can't have sex to get things moving once your water has broken.

Ok so no sex with broken waters, makes sense... But can you, ahem, fix yourself up to stimulate hormones? Same principle as nipple stim? Hehe

Bounce on a fit ball with your legs wide apart, rotate your hips on the fit ball, do squats to get bub moving down low, give your feet a massage, walk up and down stairs.

I had my little girl today at 4.20pm. No drugs or interventions i begged to be sent home this morning after bugger all happened last night. In hindsight my waters that broke yes were hindwaters as I gushed our liquid this morning after my check up. Contractions started an hour later ten min apart and went to 5min at 1pm - 3min at 2pm.

Begged for epi at 3.15pm and when anaes. Turned up at 4pm I was feeling like pushing and so I did.

So relieved I didn't get the epi. Had a wonderful wonderful delivery. Big thanks to mater middies that convinced the ob I was healthy and happy and so was bub.
