Default Princess/Dora/Tinkerbell Beds?? Where are they now?

Ok, so i know i havent been around for a loooong time, i am sure most people here wont remember me, but i need to share!

My partners two daughters come to stay with us every second weekend, 2 and 4. atm my son james (now 3) has a double bed and the girls have a single bed with a trundle type setup. last time they stayed they kept hurting eachother and themselves on the bed and climbing over each other.

I have been trying to find them those little dora/princess/tinkerbell style beds, my son used to have a thomas one, i think the bed head was plastic and i do recall it was 135cm long, which would be perfect until we find a bigger house, as the tallest is still only 105cm.

I went to spotlight, they have ones in wood for display, but not for sale

went to target, they usually sell them but no more until after july

went to kmart, they no longer stock them

went to 5 different discount stores, no kids beds but plenty of adult bed frames.

I am at a loss as to what to do.
I thought those little beds were really easy to find, and usually not too expensive - i cant find them anywhere!!!!

Has anyone seen any recently - preferably around the blue mountains or sydney, or even newcastle?

I think with the toy sales coming up this month you may get them from that at target, Kmart or big w.

thanks Jensha unfortunately the people at target were fairly certain they wont have them til after july, and i really need them for this weekend, lol. kmart said they dont have them any more, but i could try during the sales. I asked at big w and was simply told "no", so maybe i can try them during the sales if nothing has come up by then.

Try EBay, I just looked and there were a few Dora and Tinkerbell, not sure if they are exactly what you want

I have a Disney Princess one I was trying to sell for ages. Plastic head and foot? Pretty sure that's it.

If you live in Vic you're welcome to mine. DD is too old for it now

They are 'toddler beds' and you can get toddler beds from various stores. You don't need to get Dora ones, you can get nice white wooden ones from Target that are the same size and more durable and probably easier to sell when you're done with them.

Toys R Us do seem to have quite a few on their website - http://www.toysrus.com.au/furniture-...88867_1181198/ (the princess bed, toy box & table/chairs)

My ds was in a toddler bed until he turned 4. He was quite tall, so really by the age of 4 it was the limit for him. Remember they need room for a pillow that is above their heads and room to wriggle around in bed. So, I'm not sure how long the 4yo will manage in 1. What I would suggest is leaving the single bed for her and buying 1 toddler bed for the 2yo and see if that works in the room. That gives you the chance to see if the 4yo fits in the bed too.

Yep as pp said Toys R Us always have them.

We had the wooden ones from there for our twins and they lasted really well. They used them until they turned 5yrs (when we bought them new single beds for their birthday). Actually DD2 used to still sleep in one at grandma's once and a while for the odd sleepover and could probably still get away with it now as she's still quite small but she doesn't have it anymore. (Grandma used to have a single bed and one of the toddler beds in the room).
