Thumbs down Concern over physician at Diabetes Service, King Edward in Perth

I just delivered my baby in KEMH 2 weeks ago. Because I am type 1 diabetes, I went to KEMH diabetes service for pregnant women for the whole pregnancy. I have to say that the midwives and obs there are fantastic, but I did have concerns about one particular physician who I am not allowed to name here. I felt that this one physician often misread or misunderstood my test results and blood sugar levels. I'd suggest you to pls be careful and ask for some advice from other physician before you take any action. As mums-to-be with diabetes, we need more strength and courage for the whole pregnancy. We have to spend more time and pay more attention to our blood sugar control and many other issues involved with the diabetes. Even though the midwives and obs are professional and nice there, I am doubt I will go to KEMH diabetes service for my next pregnancy. The last 9 months experience really terrified me, and I will definitely prefer a private hospital with my own ob and a private physician to help me next time. I would like to stress that it was only one physician - I was happy with the others.
