Oh I'm sorry I misread your dates. I was looking at Chookla!!!! I thought it was a little strange that they'd not expect it to be labour at nearly 41 weeks!
That really sucks that they won't have a look. At least they could put you on a monitor for a while. I guess your waters haven't ruptured yet?
All you can do now hon, is wait a little longer and see what happens. But if your contractions get longer, closer or become really uncomfortable, give them another call and tell them you need some help. They can't refuse a cry for help. Keep us posted...

I only wish it was me!

I'm very disturbed by this and I would hope after a few more calls and even tears that they take a look at you.

Dr's opens in 20 so going to phone them and plead my case if I can't get into my normal ob I will see the other one who works there.
They lock the doors at our maternity ward at 10pm so u have to phone first over night. The wonders of living regionally....

I too would hold off for as long as I could before going to the hospital. I left home when my contractions were 3 mins apart and lasting 1-3 minutes (the hospital was about an hour drive). I could no longer hold a conversation through the contractions. The hospital will put you on the clock and if you don't progress to their standards they will start to interfere with you. I learnt that the hard way with my first...

Just been into see ob still only 3cm's and 50% effaced, but bubs has turned posterior so i'm on a mission to turn him back.
Because of placenta calcifying she did a scan to check his growth and he is below the 5th percentile for size so got sent up to the hospital to have a growth scan and they will interpret it this afternoon and let me know a plan, likely i will be induced tonight or tomorrow morning.
Am more worried about him now than myself.
Dr phoned the maternity ward and had a go at them as they shouldn't have been so rude and shouldn't have questioned her decisions in regards to my care.
    Thanks for all the support

Oh, that's good news that something is happening. I hope because of the concerns with the placenta that baby gets delivered asap for your sake and bubs. Wow, how cool is it that you could be a mummy tomorrow?! Good, good luck with everything. Keep us posted!

Oh good that the dr had a go at the maternity staff!

I hope all these contractions you've been having are doing the job and when they ramp up it happens quickly.

Good luck getting bub turned back.

He has turned to posteria though so trying to turn him back to anterior which he was on Tuesday little bugger
