To be honest..not much! My ob just asked a few questions (had I stopped bleeding, any concerns), she took a quick look at my caesar scar to make sure it had healed up nicely and asked me if I needed to discuss birth control options which I declined.

Mine also included an internal to make sure my uterus had shrunk back up correctly. Oh and he checked my yummy muscles to see I'd they had knitted back together (externally checked that of course).

My ob did an internal, pap smear, checked stitches (4th degree tear), did ultrasound to check uterus and also discussed birth control. She also asked how I was feeling etc

    Pap smear
Check for muscle separation ( pushed on outside of tummy)
Checked my perineum (2nd degree episiotomy )
    Birth control.

Checked Ds over (startle reflex, other reflexes, just a general all over body check)
First lot of immunisations for Ds

He also checked little mans lungs as we had just come out of hospital after a week on oxygen with bronchiolitis (but that is not a 'normal' part of a 6 week check)

Thanks! I guess I just wanted to know what to expect - am hoping to avoid (do at a later stage) the internal/pap smear as I have had some issues.

I also wondered whether it was routine for bub to be checked too.

I had to take bub for 6 week check up/needles at the GP
