Default what to dress a 20 month old in for bed in sydney Winter

    Hi All,

Having a little trouble with bedtime at night. Wanting to get ideas on what everyone in Sydney or similiar weather is dressing toddlers in for Winter and what temp you are heating their rooms too.

I am trying all different things with layers and heater and she is waking up too hot or cold or half the time I can't figure out if she is cold!

Also she won't sleep in a bag or under blankets - refuses too.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Boy I look after wears a singlet with long jammies (but thin ones - like the cotton on kids ones?) and a sleeping bag with the oil heater on too.

He was getting too hot in the fleece feety jammies but this seems to work.

Yes, I am using the all in one fleece suits from Target (size 1) and heating room to stay around 19-20 along with a light pair of pj pants underneath and a skivvy and singlet.

The reason why I have the skivvy on is because I tried other layers but she was waking up more, so put the skivvy on for her neck and that worked for a few nights, but now I am back to square one. It has got colder now, but still not sure if she is cold or not!

I put dd in a singlet, onesie (the ones with long sleeves and no legs), sox and either a all in one type suit or flannel 2 piece pj's. She then goes into a fleecy long sleeved sleeping bag.
She has never slept under covers, but i have 3 layers of blankets in her cot atm plus a sheepskin rug. Her room is freezing, i cannot get it warm and refuse to put a heater in there (hazard).
She has not worken during the night for as long as i can remember.
Where i am, we get -2 degrees overnight at times.
In the morning she is toasty warm so i know she stays warm.

Newcastle girl here. 24 month old DD who does sleep in a bag.

    She wears a
    Singlet
    Long sleeve shirt
    A track suit
    Socks
    And a thick bag.

If it's cold enough she also wears flannelette pjs under her track suit AND baby ugg boots to bed :-o

Just today weve put blankets on her bed too.
