I dont think 30 mins is too far however is there other stuff around for parents to do while the party is on? Cause most wont want to go back home because of the distance and my dd HATES if I stay at parties. She wants to run amok without me watching, lol. So if there is shops or something close for the parents to go off and do I dont think its an issue.

30 minutes would be a short drive for me! I've driven all sorts of places for DD's friends' parties - doesn't bother us at all.

Yep I would, 30mins seems reasonable, any longer not so much. It would be weird if there was a plaster fn house 10mins away and you were choosing to have it further but if its the nearest one then go for it!

30 mins isn't too far in my book, but then I've driven 3 hrs to go to parties before.

Yes I would travel 30 mins for a party. I travel further than that to go visit family on a regular basis so I wouldn't think it was an inconvenience or anything...
