Default First date night is 3 years help!!!!!

Yes it's been 3 years since DH and I have had a date night. No excuses just life here I guess. Well its got to a point that we desperately need some Mummy and Daddy time. I've organised a babysitter for a few hours whatever Saturday night we want, now I just need ideas.

I want to do something really special for DH as I've been a bit of a cow lately. I want to show him how special he is to me.

Please please please does anyone have any ideas at all. Oh btw I'm in Brisbane.

    TIA

Depending on your budget, how about getting a luxury car, something the hubby likes, to pick you up and take you to a favourite restaurant?
Or if your DH is into it maybe go to a mini golf or something?
Or maybe go see a comedy show? I any are on that night.

I'm in WA so I don't know what you have around you but that's my ideas

Our budget is small sadly. Approx $300 for the night. I thought about dinner and a movie but don't know any really nice restaurants in Brissie, and I really wanted something different and special. I'm so not creative with romantic special nights :-(

Why not pack a picnic and drive out to Yatala and see a movie at the Drive In? Dinner on the beach or nice look out, Gold Class movie with dinner, mini golf, iceskating...
I'm sure someone could recommend a lovely restaurant.

There's heaps of things you could do.

What about the gondola dinner cruise?

Otherwise, DH and I like going to the Blue Room Cinebar in Rosalie when we get a chance to have an afternoon or evening out. You can have dinner at a nearby restaurant like Salt and then share some wine and a dessert plate at the Blue Room while watching a film (nicer and cheaper than gold class cinemas and a better choice of films).

The Summit restaurant at Mt Cootha or Brett's Wharf at Hamilton might be other options for a romantic dinner.

Ok, here are a couple of nice restaurants in Brisbane that I know of... of course depends on what you like..

Spizzico at East Brisbane - They do nice italian food
My Thai at Rosalie - obviously thai food, lol.
The buffet at the Gold Coast Casino is really good,
Most of the restaurants at Portside are pretty good...(just google portside restaurants I guess, so u can see what's there)
There are a couple of new restaurants that i have heard are good at Southbank, at the far end of the walkway when you walk along the river... they seem busy yet popular..
