Default * The Perfect Fondant *

Ok so I'm going to try out this fondant on DD's birthday cake next week, but have a couple of questions.

Can it be made ahead? How long would it last for?
I have never used any type of fondant before, is it easy to put on the cake? I'm going to be making a 6 layered rainbow cake and was going to do buttercream icing but thought maybe this marshmellow one would work too.

Oh I wish I found this earlier!

I am making DS his Transformers cake for his party on the weekend.
I cheated and bought a slab of coloured ready to roll fondant.

    Subbing now though

There is a new cake supply store over my way at Sylvania.
    Bakel's brand, 750g $15. It covers a standard 8" (20cm) round cake.

Have you got a link to your cake picture?
