    Default Vent/Advice welcome

Just feeling a little worried. With the cold weather starting my vasospasm has kicked in with full force so feeding has been painful on and off. Also my DD just got her first tooth and the second one is almost there and she's decided to bite me a few times which honestly I can't even tell because of the vaso pain.

She hasn't really bitten hard, I think its more trying to rub her gums poor thing. Time to get the heat bag out I think.

I can't comment on the vasospasm but I know how you feel with the biting!! DD is 4 (nearly 5) months and has two bottom teeth and bites me at least once a day!

do you have a heater you can keep on in your house?

    MAJOR hugs
maybe sew two scarves together so you can drop the heat bags into the pocket - that way they're hanging directly onto your boobs
um, or an electric blanket to wrap around the boobs before/after feeds

you've done such a good job to get this far! really truly have! so you should feel proud of yourself.
but continue to feel free venting away

Greenhorn, i used to sit in front of the heater and it did help. We're in a much bigger place now with only a portable heater thingy so it's not quite cutting it what do you do when you get bitten?

Gandalf, I have never thought of the electric blanket. That is a really great idea, thanks. I actually got two small heat packs that fit inside my singlet lol
and thanks for the kind words

So I got about 2.5 months of painfree breastfeeding, I feel pretty ripped off!

far out yeah i'd feel ripped off too. i thought you got a bit more than that
move now! we're two degree's warmer down here!!!

otherwise, hot water bottle on the boobs - i find mine warmer than my heatpacks. - but i'd probably still wrap myself in an electric blanket! its more warmth than the heater, and less cost! and less effort than heatpacks/hot waterbottles

Hun, like you I feel ripped off in the pain free stakes so here is some more big hugs

Everyone's suggestions are great re:keeping warm, just wanted to ask how her attachment is I notice that DD2 causes me more vasospams if she gets tired / lazy and mucks around on there so my LC told me to take her off, give her a burp and reattach and to keep doing this if / when she gets lazy.

Nope, took 3 months to get to the point of pain free to the point of being able to feed out and about anyway.
I've been slack taking my magnesium though so if I get on top of that it should help a bit.

Its two degrees colder there! haha

you're right about attachment. It's been worse I think because she messes around. I think thats a teething thing though. I tried to "help" her get on the breast and she pushed my arm away and wanted to do it herself lol

I'm hoping she drops at least one or two feeds soon. She feeds constantly, which has been fine but with the pain it's getting tough. She's started solids now though so maybe she'll let me go 1.5 hours without a feed

Lol cheeky little thing (about the self attachment)! But yeah we're starting the teething process and I've noticed a lot more mucking around & detaching and reattaching boy it's a long process (thankfully she's a quick feeder)

Hopefully she drops a feed soon for your comfort
