I am for it... why should a person suffer needlessly in pain if they are going to pass away anyway... they should have the right to go peacefully and with a little dignity

If myself/a person I loved were suffering, I would want to have/them to have the choice to end that, in a dignified way, surrounded by loved ones etc.

    Very much for

If they are of sound mind, yes 100%. Who am I, or anyone to tell someone their suffering can't be ended?

For. But, it has to have a strict medical and ethical frame work around it (I mean as a legalised, supervised practice, not just people ending their own life alone).

    For.

I've watched a live euthanasia, and it horrified me. It was so quick but so strange and disconcerting to see a man sign away his life, take the tablets, drink, sit down on the couch and then after not even a minute stiffen, gasp, ask for a drink and suddenly...gone.

But I'm still entirely FOR. I wouldn't want my agony drawn out.

Terry Pratchett did a doco on it...I fully recommend watching it.
