BAked beans are awesome! Especially the low-salt varieties. I wish DS would eat them (he did as a bub but at five won't touch them).

Eggs are awesome too. DS had scrambled eggs, broccolini, a piece of wholegrain toast and a glass of milk for dinner tonight. Took me about six minutes to prepare. That's not lazy, that's SMART

Watties ones with little boys in them are the best except not enough boys in one can.

We have beans and eggs every tuesday for dinner, its my lazy night dinner for the week.
The kids also have beans on toast for lunch sometimes too.
Better than macca's or most other junky takeaways and cheaper too.

Regardless of health benefits, I think every parent is entitled to one 'lazy' night a week - can't be perfect 24/7 and only sanctimommies think you should be! Baked beans are likely more healthy than macaroni cheese from a jar my mum served us when she wanted a break .

They are only unhealthy if you get the normal ones. Heinz makes a no added salt variety.

Beans are fantastic, particularly for vegetarians like us.

Baked beans on toast once a week for tea in this house. Always on a Tuesday when I get home from work late, never feel guilty. If we don't have beans it's scrambled eggs on toast, definitely agree, not lazy, SMART !
